Another short, and very sweet story that I found myself enjoying very much. The protagonists have known each other for a long time and loved each other for just as long. When Olivier is wounded and brought to her home, Maisie is sick with worry and tends to him as best she can. Their scenes together were delightful and engaging. Maisie's reaction to Olivier's unclothed form was adorable, and her concern was palpable. Olivier is the epitome of charming and he never lost his sense of humor. I loved his nickname for Maisie and the obvious affection he felt towards her. He committed acts that were illegal and I wondered (although I had a sneaking suspicion) how the story would be resolved. I wasn't disappointed. All For Love was a short but very gratifying read. Olivier Davignon risks life, limb and freedom in order to acquire enough money to be able to offer marriage to the woman he loves. During one of his escapades, he is wounded and requires medical attention. There is little time and he must seek the help of his lady love. Maisie Tindall has been in love with Olivier from the moment they met, but will she be able to accept the things he's done to be able to be with her?

Short, sweet, and to the pint, Lora Darling brings to life the characters of Olivier Davigon and the woman of his interest: Maisie Tindal. Of course just because the two have fallen in love doesn’t mean Daddy approves.

Maisie has her own doubts when she finds out her brother and Oliver are the notorious highway men responsible for the recent spur of robberies lately. Olivier does it because he wants to have something before he dares ask for her hand but fate steps in and . . . if you’d like to know what ‘fate’ is read All for Love. I’m sure you will connect with the desperate action of two people in love and rejoice with joy when they finally get together.

All for Love is a good book to read when you have an hour to while away in the world of days gone past if only to renew your faith that love conquers all.

Future Vampire?

I'm always on the lookout for people (famous or not) who inspire thoughts of vampires. I now have to add Rachel Bilson to the list. I admit, I'm surprised. She's always been cute but I never knew she harbored such a sexy vixen inside!Flaunt Magazine Nov 09

Oddly enough, it seems Rachel's dark side has been on display before but I must have been distracted by the handsome Hayden at her side ;)

New Vampire movie added to must see list

synopsis:
Based on the popular series of books by Darren Shan, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant tells the story of a small-town teen who inadvertently shatters a 200-year-old truce between warring factions of vampires. Sixteen-year-old Darren (Chris Massoglia) is your typical adolescent; he spends most of his time with his best friend, Steve (Josh Hutcherson), earns decent grades, and generally manages to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds Darren when he and Steve make the acquaintance of a vampire named Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly) while attending a traveling freak show at a local theater. Transformed into a bloodsucker by Crepsley, Darren joins the Cirque du Freak and quickly ingratiates himself with the unusual cast of characters who populate it, including Madame Truska the Bearded Lady (Salma Hayek) and the traveling sideshow's towering barker (Ken Watanabe). As Darren works to master his newfound powers as a budding member of the supernatural underworld, he becomes a valued pawn between the vampires and their deadlier rivals, the Vampanese.
